Food Related

When I sliced the celery for supper yesterday they looked like little hearts.  Celery hearts.  Just had to share.  I wonder if I can duplicate. ?

March Squares from MG's crochet

Melissa Green's Ravelry Store

February 2013*** I am going to use this as a place to show off some of my work. I decided to start with this scarf I just completed. I found a filet lace pattern in an insert from some craft magazine from a few years ago. Not sure what magazine, it was discarded long ago. The insert however survived. Using the pattern as inspiration I tweaked it abit used baby sport weight yarn and a D hook and made a scarf in time for Valentine's Day!

Fat Tuesday, February 12, 2013.....Alright here are two Cowls made using the Double Strand Infinity Cowl... find pattern at http://www.1dogwoof.com/2013/01/end-of-winter-double-strand-infinity.html

I used Red Heart Worsted weight Gold, Green, Purple (Happy Mardi Gras) for the one in the first photo and a N(9.00mm) hook. The one in the second photo I used the same colors but added a yellow strand for more "pop" Used a Q hook, chained 66 using all colors(four strands) after foundation chain continued with pattern only using one strand on each round for three rounds(green, gold, purple). I just dropped the colors not being used for each round, I did not fasten off . Last round using all four strands single crocheted around and joined. The tension was really loose for this because I wanted a light weight cowl. It is kind of warm in Alabama. Liv really liked the tighter one since it started to sprinkle during the parade and she was able to pull it on top of her head and cover her ears.

2/14/2013                Happy Valentine’s Day

This little heart pouch was suppose to have a zipper but I could not find a Zipper in my supplies so I used buttons instead. I think it turned out cute and when I find the pattern I'll list where it came from because now I can't remember where I got the pattern from.

The Alarm Clock has Sounded

I have the most reliable alarm clock in the world.  The snooze button doesn't work often but this alarm clock needs no batteries and runs on Cheerios, milk and animal crackers as a general rule.  5:45am and he is wide awake and VOCAL.  Funny how the rest of the house is immune.  Oh well life is too short to sleep it away.  So up we are for another day.

I decided to backtrack a bit and add this little piece.  You can sure understand why when this alarm clock sounds off Grandma is up and at em.  Isn't he too cute and Sam ain't too bad either.
