Garden_What's in your Drawers?

What's in your drawers?
A little creative recycling today using drawers from an old dresser as planters. I stuffed the areas under the top drawers with newspaper and lined the bottom with newspaper.  Added loose layer of river rocks and  fill with a manure compost mix.  Then planted a collection of seeds...corn, okra, spaghetti squash, cucumbers, beets, diakon radishes and marigold.  Let's see what happens!

Tourist in our own Backyard

June 16, 2014 ; The first installment of a crazy idea, probably been done before but not by me, so I'm going to just have some fun and share.  There are quite a few interesting sites to see and enjoy right here in our own backyard in Baldwin County, Alabama .  Josephine  is where we start this journey.

Barber Marina...Dinosaurs

Wildflowers

Nose pickers

"Why can't I go swimming,,,there's guardians in there?"

"Whatcha doin'?"

Pirate’s Cove

Finally made it out to Pirate's Cove.  We ordered some Chicken Fingers, Onion Rings and Fries and yep they were good.  The mustard sauce is fantastic.  Best part is all the friendly Dogs and they behave better than most people.  Next trip we will take the swimsuits.  Really amazed at how busy it is out there on a Monday.  It has got to be a mad house on the weekends.

Circle,circle, circle....

CIRCLE....and he's off...have to do this later

Ok back to what I tried to start 2 days ago but my little master gardener was ready to get back outside.

We have some beans, peas, squash, corn and carrots planted in milk cartons and other "plant-able" containers.  He had the most fun mixing the dirt and water.
